One of my favorite spaces in our home that I may like to hide out in to escape is our cozy Farmhouse bathroom. Gives me all the cozy and serene farmhouse vibes. With lots of questions on our bathroom I’m sharing all our details and sources of it.

I love bathrooms with character! When I came across these farmhouse distressed Mirrors it was love at first sight and instantly the whole bathroom was designed around them. I even told my husband when we move one day I wanted to take them with me.. that’s how much I love them. They are truly the statement pieces of the room
Wall Sconces
I opted for wall sconces over vanity lights. I wanted something simple that wouldn’t take away from the mirror, yet I needed a little contrast to bring out the distressing of the mirrors. Unfortunately my sconces are discontinued, but found a few similar options of them here, here, and here.
Ceiling pendant
For the ceiling fixture. I wanted something simple and this distressed pendant did just the trick. It added a little texture to the ceiling without be overpowering.
Shiplap, Walls and Trim
Shiplap! The perfect texture added to any space. We opted for 8” boards.
Color of walls and shiplap is Benjamin Moore White Dove in eggshell sheen
Trim is white dove in semi gloss sheen.
Ceilings are Benjamin Moore Simply White in flat
Cabinets are Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray
I wanted something simple, yet timeless and classic. For our main shower tile I choose to go with the longer subway tile to have fewer grout lines and also make the shower appear bigger than having smaller squares. For the wall accent tile I choose a mini hexagon marble for the wall encased with a pencil rail and for the floor the accenting marble in a larger hexagon
Grout is a non sanded grout. We used non-sanded because I wanted a small grout line. The color is Delorean gray
We currently do not have shower glass and get asked if a lot of water splashes everywhere. Even with my husband at 6’3” the only place it gets is by the door and we always lay a towel down before we get in. We are thinking about adding glass to keep the warmth in. So that may be addition in the near future.
Tub and Faucet
One thing I already knew when designing our bathroom was I wanted a freestanding tub. I wanted one with skirting because it screams farmhouse design.
These can get pretty pricey, but I found this one that also included a beautiful faucet at a great price. It’s cast iron so it’s super heavy. I have gotten questions regarding rusting and I have NOT had that issue and I would most definitely buy it again.
Sink Faucets
For our sink faucets I went with a chrome finish. Love this Victorian design and the old time looking handles
Shower Hardware

Our bathroom flooring is the same as the wood throughout our home. Its an engineered wood called BPI Countryside and suede in color.I do get asked if we have had any issues having wood in our bathroom and we have not. With all the white we had in our bathroom I wanted a warm tone for added contrast so it wouldn’t seem cold and stark.
Cabinets
Our cabinets are custom made and the color is Sherwin Williams Stonington Gray the same as our kitchen island. I did have a uh oh moment when they delivered them. I tested the color out in the kitchen, but did not in the bathroom and when they brought them into the bathroom I had a baby blue moment. So lighting is everything! Good thing I like the color blue and it worked out perfect because it broke up all the white in our bathroom.
Countertops
Our counter tops are Carrera Mable and I love them. We haven’t had any issues using marble in the bathroom and they definitely have a time less and classic look
This is the biggest bathroom we have ever built and I love the size! Rough measurement of our bathroom is: 11’9” x 14’9” this does not include our closet space

You know when you go shopping not really looking and you find the best things opposed to looking for that particular something and can’t be found anywhere? Well… I went to a local antique shop not looking for anything in particular and stumbled upon these. They were from an old home in our downtown area and they had a heavy white paint on them. They were the first item bought for the house, and really didn’t know where they would go until sheet rock was up and then it hit me the bathroom was the perfect place. Being that these doors are taller than the our standard doors we have, the hubby had to cut the doorway out and reconstruct it for them to fit. Also..We striped them down to raw wood which was a ton of work, but I could’t be happier on how they look.
